AN ACT to dedicate to the use of the Mount Zion Baptist Church (Colored) lot uumber 6 in block 179 in the city of Lincoln. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Nebraska : SECTION 1. That lot number six in block one hundred and seventy-nine in the city of Lincoln in this State is hereby dedicated to the use of the "Mount Zion Baptist Church" (Colored), of the city of Lincoln. Provided, however, that said church shall within one year from the passage of this act use and occupy such lot for church purposes; And provided further, That if at any time such church shall abandon the use of said lot for the period of one year the title to said lot shall revert to this State and be disposed of in the manner provided by law for the sale and disposition of other lots in the city of Lincoln belonging to the State. AN ACT to re-appropriate the sum of five hundred dollars to assist in the completion of the National Lincoln Monument at or near Springfield, Illinois. Whereas, By an act of the legislature of the State of Nebraska, entitled "An act making an appropriation to aid in the construction of the National Lincoln Monument, at or near Springfield, in the State of Illinois," approved February 15th, 1869, the sum of five hundred dollars was appropriated for that purpose, and Whereas, Said appropriation for some reason was never drawn against, but was allowed to be covered back into the treasury, and Whereas, Said National Lincoln Monument is still incomplete, and the necessity for such appropriation is as great now as at any other time, therefore, Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Nebraska : ated. AN ACT to provide for the taking down and removal of the material entering into the construction of the old capitol building, and to provide for the erection of the main building of the new capitol of the state of Nebraska, and to levy tax of one-half of one mill on the dollar, and appropriate the moneys arising from said levy to pay for said new capitol building. WHEREAS, The old capitol building of the state of Preamble. Nebraska occupies the site designated by the legislature of the state for the main building of the new capitol, and it is necessary to remove the same before entering upon the construction of the main building of the new capitol; and To advertise for bids for removal of old capitol building. WHEREAS, The east and west wings of the new capitol building are now completed, and it is desired that the main building of the new capitol should be erected, therefore Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Nebraska : SECTION 1. The board of public lands and buildings are hereby authorized and required within ten days from the passage of this act, and the approval of this act by the governor, to advertise in three newspapers of the largest circulation in the state of Nebraska, one in Lincoln, one in Omaha, and one in Hastings, Nebraska, for not less than 60 days, for bids on the taking down of the old capitol building and the removal of the material out of which the same is composed from the capitol grounds, and the sale of said material; which said advertisement shall require the person or persons bidding thereon, to take down and remove the old capitol building and the material composing the same from the capitol grounds without injury or damage to the east and west wings of the new capitol, within sixty days from the date of the contract for the taking down and removal of the same. SEC. 2. It shall be the duty of the board of public lands and buildings to accept the best bid for the taking down and removal of the old capital building, in accordance with section one of this act, and to require the person or persons whose bid or bids are accepted for said removal, to give bond to the state of Nebraska in the sum of fifteen thousand dollars for the faithful performance of said contract and to pay all damages or injury done to the east wing or the west wing of the new capitol building.
